In English uncountable nouns can be divided into two broad categories. The
first is things like liquids and powders whish you view as a mass these are
called "mass-nouns" the other is categories; thus we talk of pounds,
dollars, zlotties, etc which are countable but the category "money" is
uncountable, likewise tables, chairs and cupboards are all countable
but "furniture" is uncountable.
If I was going to do a conlang that made extra distinctions between
countable and uncountable nouns, I'd split the uncountable nouns into
"mass-nouns" and "categories"
