The People of the South, whom I'm slowly developing, live around the
South Pole of Terra Nova, so I'm not too sure of what kind of
directional terms they would use. North, south, east, west would seem
odd to use for such a culture. Then again, the South Pole is a sacred
spot for them, so "towards the pole" and "away from the pole" (i.e.,
"south" and "north") might be reasonable. And "east" and "west" would
probably be the same words as for "clockwise" and "counterclockwise".
