The Saalangal's small archipelago is situated around the area of where
Scarborough Reef is in the South China Sea (in our world...there it doesnt
exist). The island is old, and surrounded by a coral reef (it is on its
way to becomiong an atoll). So, the areal influence is there, but the
language is it's own beast ;).

Yes, it has its use there, and children often use it when shifting the
