I know of one out-dated irregular that I see all the time on this list:
"spelt". It reminded me of reading that old Esperanto book from 1929: "Every
word is pronounced exactly as it is spelt." Hee, hee, hee! I suppose, then,
that if you want to fell a tree, than you have that tree "felt". :)
