"Julie" in English is hypocoristic for both "Julius" and "Julia", as "Pat"
represents both "Patrick" (< "Patricius", but this is not used in English)
and "Patricia", and "Sandy" represents both "Alexander" and "Alexandra".
"Terry" is a little more peculiar: it can represent "Terence" or "T(h)eresa".
