Lemme add something real quick...
>manga monkey
>shnu snow
>more large body of water
>m@lge female breast
>hhalb white
>pata box, basket
>6arku sinew, bowstring
>lonqa to bend
>ttapa to hit (target)
>bocha young deer
I forgot to mention -- most nouns are really stems: mang-, pat-, hhalb-,
ttap- (as a verbal noun, i.e. "a hit"). These words I went ahead and placed
a vowel at the end, using a form of vowel harmony based on high-low
opposition. (High vowels are @ u i; low vowels are a o e.) Most
reconstructed roots have unspecified final vowels, so I just made these
stems. (Some words bear in mind do have final vowels, such as _more_ where
the low vowel marks inherent feminine; masculine nouns which appear as stems
ending in consonants are femininized with the famous -ah/-at ending. T is
projected in words beginning with a laryngeal; spirantization mutation
before all other consonants.)
