Yeah. In fact, Toki Pona was one of the inspirations for making Lilipu.
Toki Pona's creator, Sonja Elen Kisa, was kind enough to write a poem in
Lilipu, which can be seen in the "Poems" section. I suggested to Sonja
to "evolve" Toki Pona into a 3-vowel language from a 5-vowel language in
keeping with minimalism, but the Toki Pona project was already maturing. I
was motivated to create a trivocalic, "tropicalistic" language just for
fun...
