Well, as you probably know from Kristian, there are several people here
who are also interested in the languages of the Philippines, and who
have conlangs based on these. In fact, there is at the moment quite an
extensive discussion going on about the uses of different languages in
the Philippines.

As someone who hasn't been on the list for the longest time (only about
15 months) and who before that was a complete conlanging novice, I can
tell you that you will definitely learn A LOT just by reading what
everyone else has to say. And it's lots of fun too!
