Italian has 'settimana', so I guess, yes, the _pti_ thing was there in
pRomance... unless this word is a borrowing from Latin, but it doesnt look
so. _septimana_ comes from the numeral septem (=7) with a suffix -ana;
_hebdon_ is a Greek borrowing, but I don't know its origin. Maybe from
_hepta_ (the Greek numeral meaning _seven_) + a suffix ?_don_?
