I don't even see this AS a paradox. A lot of Christians, even pastors,
accept homosexuality. There's no reason why an entire society shouldn't
be one. America might very well one day be, there's certainly a growing
acceptance of gays in our society. Unless that reverses at some point,
it seems that one day our society will be one which will be fully
accepting of "gay marriages".
