Now there's something I dabbled a little in for the Saalangal.  I'll often
draw plants that dont exist, for instance, a plant that looks a lot like a
cross between the leaves of  Pachira aquatica (Guyana chestnut), and the
flowers of Zantedeschia aethiopica (Calla Lily). One was also a new
species of palm that was more like the crown shaft type palms  in habit,
but the fruits were more like those of a Butia capitata (Pindo Palm), or
Date palm (it was also a major staple on the island).I had thought a bit
about doing something similar to a conlang manuscript about conbotany, but
i never went through with it fully.
