Eh? You mean people will say things like "Who book is this?" or "The
man who book ..."? Weird. The only people I've heard that from are
people who also say things like "John book".

I pretty much only use "whom" in fronted prepositional phrases, like
"The person from whom I bought this", but "The person [who] I bought
this from". I also use it in a few other situations, but not
frequently.
