At least in the Swedish translation I read, Anna Comnena habitually refers to it
as "the city of the Romans" (or "Romaeans", to anglicize the unusual Swedish
form used - _roméer_ rather than _romare_ -, presumably to connect closer to
Greek _rhomaioi_).
