This is literally being finalized right now with the Board and a
couple major speakers, so we should be able to make an announcement
within days. Since I don't know what the results of that will be, I
can only answer two of your questions.

Why no announcement? - We didn't want to make a formal announcement
until it was fully settled, and that kept getting set back. This'll be
explained in the announcement.

Why the registration form? - It's used for multiple things besides
simply making a list of who's in. One of them is deciding what would
be the best date when we have a selection; another is helping us
process possible speakers. I  But we haven't given a date nor been
accepting registration fees, pending that same finalization; in case
the tentative date would need to change, we wouldn't want people stuck
with tickets.

The rest should be answered very soon and more publicly.
