cat-individual-singular means one cat
cat-individual-paucal means few cats
cat-individual-plural means a lot of cats.
cat-groupal-singual means a heard or any other grouping of cats.
cat-groupal-paucal means a collection of few groups of cats.
cat-groupal-plural means a big colecction of groups of cats.
cat-class means all cats or cats as generic
cat-class is not marked for number.
Paucal means an amount you can easily pick individuals appart. Plural is=
used
for amounts you you can't tell every individual appart.
Mass words are usually inflected by individual-singular, groupal-paucal o=
r class
number marking.
For first person:
individual-singular: only speaker.
individual-paucal: speaker plus people listening if they are not too many=
=2E
individual-plural: speaker plus many other people, present or not.
groupal-singual: speaker talking as representing a group.
groupal-paucal: speaker talking as representing a group and including oth=
er few,
represented, groups.
groupal-plural: speaker talking as representing a group and including oth=
er
groups.
class: much the same as English _one_.
