How to learn an incomplete conlang?

Hello,
In last days here in Ukraine I observe a new wave of interest to Elfic langs
constructed by Tolkien, and hence I looked through some descriptions of
Quenya (believe it, or not, never seen it before). The language is nice and
not too difficult for a specialist ;) but the question rises: How can
somebody learn an incomplete conlang? I don't mean the vocabulary - that may
be somehow fixed. I mean first of all, grammar lacunas, esp. in "structure
words". I cannot use a language that has a word for "here", but no word for
"where" or "there"! Any ideas?
