It's probably shameful for me to mention it, but have you ever thought of
using one of the online blogging sites? http://www.manilasites.com/ is quite
good. Manilla is dead easy to use. I'm using it now that I won't be able to
update my other site regularly enough - nonsense with my ISPs dialup
requirements and such. It's incredibly easy to use and if you run into any
trouble, I'll help if you want.
