So, in the interest of true internationalism, it seems like a pictographic representation of this term that mapped semantically as something like SHIP PULL FAR-SOUND ALERT-METHOD DEVICE-SET would be much more favorable to much of the world's population than any kind of "spelling reform" of the various euroclonal forms of the term.
