The most general idea was like this: What could happen to OE, if England
had NOT been conquered by Normans, but survived up to nowadays WITHOUT
'Frenssh' influence. Maybe it even conquered France lately...
Så, main features: preservation of OE vocabulary, minimal Romance influence
(maybe except of some bookish and ecclesiastic words), new words are coined
of native material. The grammar system undergone certain simplifications
(e.g. losing much of declension), staying on the stage of "levelled
endings". And surely NO GVS !!! I HATE the Great Vowel Shift !!!
