The quote in the subject line is from the 1933 movie
King Kong. I'm reading the autobiography of classic
movie special effects wizard Ray Harryhausen and I ran
across this interesting bit of conlang trivia:
"Ruth Rose, who co-wrote the King Kong screenplay,
loved to invent languages for films based on actual
dialects from all parts of the world. Ruth once told
me that she had tried to base it [the King Kong
language] on an actual obscure language, but sadly I
don't remember which one."
