Hi,
My second attempt at a flag. Its hosted at
http://home.iitk.ac.in/student/shanth/images/conflag.jpg . The flag
(409x255) is in the Golden ration
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio) and the recursive pattern of
the flag suggests the infinite variation and the myraid possibilities
within possibilities available in conlangs. (Purple and black color is
I guess the accepted color? ;-) , though I'm not sure of the shade of
purple which people prefer.) The sun in the trianlge represents
creation, as well as knowledge ar the idea of language. Its three
beams illuminating a mouth with a tongue which symbolizes phonetrics
and the spoken form (Garcia's symbol), a book and a quill (the scripts
and writing) and an empty beam in the middle which represents the
unknown or abstract aspect o conlangs (that which cannot be seen).
Hope that helps
Shanth
