Heaven knows how spamming works, but I suspect some of it must key in on
topics/languages etc. used in legit posts.  We've had a lot of Hungarian
discussion here in recent days...  I used to get spam in Indonesian, and can
recall instances on Cybalist-- when someone happened to mention Indonesian
data, lo and behold, shortly thereafter we'd be invited to "Meng-upgrade
koneksi internet anda."
At one point I was getting a bunch in Korean, that seemed to have to do with
casinos; I suspect it came via the Austronesian list, one of whose regular
posters is an expat in Korea.  </paranoia>
