Que sais-je: L'Ancien Français - should I buy it?

I need some advice.  I want to find out more about Old French, but there seem
to be no English texts on the matter.  Thing is, I speak only a little
french, but knowing Linguistic terms and soforth, could I understand the
majority of this book?
