I'm good with names, just not connecting names and faces or voices.
:-) That's one reason I prefer books over movies, cause I can remember
the characters' names in a book, and remember what they did, etc., but
watching a movie I'll often not realize that the person who did one
thing and the person who did another thing are the same (*especially* if
it's an unnamed character), especially if there's more than 3 or 4 main
characters, or if they resemble each other.
Speaking of voices, I remember once, when I was around 10 or so, calling
up a friend, and his mother answered, and I mistook her for him, which
was rather embarrassing ("Can you come over to play?"). :-) I also
have a strong tendency to avoid using names, out of fear of using the
wrong name. I'm not quite as bad at it as I used to be, tho. But, I've
jokingly remarked a few times that everyone should be required to wear
name tags. :-)
