Well, unless it's broken recently, India isn't on a separate one, it's
just not on the same as the rest of Asia. It shares Australia's plate
(as the Indo-Australian plate). But I think the eastern border, with
the Pacific plate, is one of the fastest moving, whereas the north-west
border, with the Asian plate, is one of the slowest, so I wouldn't be
surprised if that caused stress and broke it...
