Combined Cases? and NP?

Hello!

I just wanted to ask what "combined cases" (in Latin) are, how they work and
have evolved. I AM *NOT* LEARNING LATIN AT SCHOOL, BECAUSE I CHOSE FRENCH
WHEN I HAD TO CHOSE AN L3 IN 7th GRADE!!! (and I did not want to take Latin
as L4 in 9th grade because I'm having enough trouble with French)

And the usual second question: What is an "NP"? This term appears here every
now and then, but I still do notknow what it means.
