If you can find it (and read French) the series 'Que Sais Je'
has a nice little book on IE, called, I believe "l'Indo-Europeen"
or perhaps "La Langue IE". Of course, I can't find it cos I just
got done rearranging my bookshelves and can no longer locate
anything properly. You might also try Sihler's "New Comparative
Grammar of Greek and Latin". I know, it's not about IE per se,
but it does have a lot good information on IE (esp. phonology).
