I was really surprised 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' is "known" to outside
Japan.
I know anime like 'Pokemon' has got some popularity in U.S. but I
thought
'Neon Genesis Evangelion' was too weird and controversial to be
accepted by
foreign culture. :-)
By the way, I confess some of the words of Ka are 'inspired' by 'Neon
Genesis Evangelion.' :-)
Have you guys on the list got the same kind of experience?

Woah! Say it isn't so! Back in 1998, SBS (Australia's 'multicultural'
programming channel) which occasionally shows anime series showed
Shinseiki Evangelion (as it is known Japan-side) and it started a
sizeable Evangelion following at our school...
I got carried away with it, when I went to Japan I couldn't resist
buying a poseable Eva-01 model with ejecting entry plug X)
Anyway, yeah. I know about Evangelion. Don't know about all those in
America...
