There are also partial translations, for instance England --> Sp.
Inglatierra, where the -land was translated into -tierra (but why Eng
--> Ingla, perhaps descended from Latin "anglicus"?). But, does anyone
know *why*, for instance, Ireland --> Sp. Irlanda, and not *Irtierra?
Whatever happened to that other list from this listserv a while back?
The one that had nation, nationality, and language? I need several
nations in their official (or main) languages for a con-IAL I'm working
on, called Humanlingwa, the official language of the Solar System, and
ancestor of the language of the Humans on Ternovo (<Tera Novo).
