French is spoken in alot of countries, like Spanish. Does it have alot of
dialectal variation? Even Finnish has alot, and Finland is just one (not
huge) country.

If the answer to my question is 'yes', your statement above is just stupid
(to put it bluntly). How am I supposed to know which French you mean? And if
it is 'no', you should be r'ly thankful we're not discussing Spanish.

I cannot understand your allergy to phonetics. Anyone have an equivalent of
Marcos's F.L.O.E.S. (= Foreign-Language Over-Exposure Syndrome)?
