Actually I mean those occasions when one wants to replace one character with two, or vice_versa, as "th" ~ "þ", "kh" ~ "x" or "ae" ~ "æ". The technical meaning of "digraph" is such combis of two letters that function as a single letter, e.g. ch gh sh th ng &c. in English. I hate them! ;-) /BP 8^)> -- B.Philip Jonsson mailto:bpX@netg.se mailto:melrochX@mail.com (delete X) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Truth, Sir, is a cow which will give [skeptics] no more milk, and so they are gone to milk the bull." -- Sam.
