Actually I mean those occasions when one wants to replace one character
with two, or vice_versa, as "th" ~ "þ", "kh" ~ "x" or "ae" ~ "æ".
The technical meaning of "digraph" is such combis of two letters that
function as a single letter, e.g. ch gh sh th ng &c. in English. I hate
them! ;-)
