Actually, our intestines are more similar to herbivores than to
carnivores. A vegetarian diet is healthier than a meat-eating diet,
altho small quantities of animal-products used to be essential for
certain nutrients (nowadays, those can be gotten from vitamins).
Also, the environmental argument is accurate - it takes less land to
support a vegetarian than a meat-eater.
But, I just like chicken and fish far too much to give those up. :-)
