Graavgaaln:
>\f Fight linguistic extinction... invent a language! >\t d,aabhaa bvem zis ngordzuud,ii >\m d,aabhaa bvem zis ngordzuu -d,ii \g language > to.do.with ignoble.death actively.oppose -imp >\p noun adv. noun verb -mood >\x Language concerning death oppose > >\t d,aabhaa rvaangd,ii \m d,aabhaa rvaang -d,ii >\g language invent* -imp >\p noun verb -mood \x language invent
*rvaang could also be translated as "to dream up", "to compose (a musical work)", "to write (a story)", "to imagine", "to philosophize" Tvern El:
>\f Fight linguistic extinction... invent a language! >\t vfa kdi e vkerl ga. er vfa \m >vfa kdi e vkerl ga er vfa >\g language die/death topic challenge aug on.the.other.hand* >language >\p noun noun/verb part verb part conj noun >\x language death that challenge very. but >language > >\t e fden >\m e fden >\g topic create >\p part verb \x that create >
er could be translated as "on the other hand", "but", "conversley", or "different". Lrahran:
> >\f Fight linguistic extinction...invent a language! >\t hlelalaohlenamryon hweulje >nlonul >\m hlelala -ohlen -am -ryon hwe >-ulje nlonul \g to.speak.a.language -nom* -pl -pat >to.cease.to.exist impending idea.that \p verb -nom -pl >-case verb -tense rel.pro. \x language > death that > >\t wrengu hlelalaohlenryon hrelmolonu* >\m wrengu hlelala -ohlen -ryon hrelmol -onu >\g to.oppose to.speak.a.language -nom -pat inspiration -verbalizer >\p verb verb -nom -case noun -verbalizer >\x oppose language invent
Hrelmolonu can also be translated as "be inspired". B-G-2-3:
>\f Fight linguistic extinction...invent a language! >\t V-12 V-12 C-1 T-8 A-12 V-12 >S-A-B-12-3-11 \m V-12 V-12 C-1 T-8 A-12 V-12 > S-A-12-3 B-11 \g language language entropy* combat pres-cont >language birth think \p noun noun noun verb >tense-asp noun verb verb >\x languages entropy combat language invent** > >\t I-5 >\m I-5 >\g fut-imp >\p tense-mood >\x 0
*C-1 can also be translted as "emptiness" or "nothingness" and perhaps one of those would have been a better choice in this case. I just wasn't sure how best to translate it! ** S-A-B-12-3-11 is a compound of S-A-12-3 menaning "to give birth" and B-11 meaning "to think". I guess it would litterally translate as "to give thought-birth to" but it translates best as "invent" or "create". Mazvita:
>\f Fight linguistic extinction...invent a language! >\t andisfaca atsfandingo didzva sazvacata. ndisfaca \m >a- ndi- sfaca* atsfandingo didzva sazvaca -ta ndi- sfaca >\g pl- 1gen- language to.dry.up rel.clause prevent -oblig 1gen- >language >\p pl- gen- noun verb rel pro verb -mood gen- noun >\x languages dry.up that prevent language > >\t imidizvengogi >\m imi- adizvengo* -gi >\g fut- to.tell.a.new.story -imp >\p tense- verb \x tell
q~'u^pl!
