Er, but all that having been said, I *do* think the idea of a
"default" grammar is interesting and maybe plausible -- not
necessarily as a result of a Language Bioprogram rearing its head, but
as a set of very simple possible solutions to the problems posed by
linear symbolic communication.

So that last link is very interesting because it mentions some of the
specific characteristics which are supposed to exist in the "basic
default" grammar that shows up in creoles.
