I don't know about all of you, but the term "fireman" clearly indicates
someone who puts out fires, while the term "fireperson" seems to indicate an
arsonist to me.

But while we're at de-genderizing names...

There was once a friendly Gerperson woperson who was the personager of an
office. To practice her Personx, she sailed from Brepersons (while all
personned their stations) to the Isle of Person. But after personhandling
persony of the crewpersons and depersonding persony things, she remembered
the Ten Compersondpersonsts. She felt moved to pray, and then said
"Apersons*".

*Which is from the S/hebrew meaning, "May it be so, let it be".
