Time is *a* fourth dimension, used in physics as a counterpart to the three spatial dimensions. But mathematics can use any (non-negative) number of dimensions. I recently saw a video on YouTube of Carl Sagan explaining the fourth dimension. No mention of time there. stevo </HTML>
