Shudder... they don't teach the pitch accents to students if you're
learning Japanese, though you can find the pitch accents for Tokyo
dialect in any good Japanese dictionary. I don't think the Japanese
teachers at our school even use the accents...

However, the Japanese that we (school trip to Japan) encountered
didn't make any complaints when people accented their Japanese like
English, I guess pitch-accenting is subconscious and unimportant for
them.

The few words whose correct pitch-accents I know come from listening
to Japanese songs, and watching Japanese films and cartoons :P
