That was the first issue of Dragon I ever bought, & I still have it. (I had
been conlanging before that, and had read Tolkien years before.)
I remember that I was a bit disappointed that some Orcish words from other D&
D material (e.g., names of Orcish deities) violated the phonology of Orcish as
presented in the article.
The author could have striven harder for consistency.
The author doesn't seem especially knowledgeable about linguistics either,
but I liked the article.
