That doesn't work. I have everything off by default and I *still* get
all those annoying pop-up windows at geocities. Aurgh indeed. Well,
perhaps not *all*, but enough to be seriously annoyed.

I hope that won't come into existence until we have cable Internet -
early next year probably. I don't like web-based discussion lists
now, because it means I have find a spare half-hour without
distraction in cheap phone hours and log in online (as opposed to
just logging in on our own computer which is usually on) and read
hurriedly but with full attention because I'm paying for every
second.
