Well, I'd really hate to see the discussion from the mailing list disappear to a web-based forum. I very much prefer to have the messages delivered to my doorstep without having to be permanently on-line. What I've seen from web-based discussion forms (a few amateur efforts, Slashdot, the way you can read messages on onelist (or was it egroups - I forget), I don't think those interfaces can be as comfortable as ones own, preferred email client.

I'd start out with a news server, and never bother with a web interface. Still, that complicates things. Email is just so very handy. One day we will all be able to send email using unicode... Boudewijn Rempt | http://www.xs4all.nl/~bsarempt
