Again, doubtful IMO, and for similar reasons...

Indeed, some do. In the old, very closety days, it was sometimes annoying
to see that the androgynous or outright effeminate men had better luck
hooking up than the more "normal"-acting types. Sort of, "it pays to
advertise", I think. This was certainly true here in the US; whether it
held for Europe, where attitudes were thought to be more relaxed, I don't
know. Or whether it's still true here, now that people are more willing to
out themselves, even at an early age. (I realized I was gay by 12 or so,
but didn't manage to do anything about it until 25. Damn!)

And yes, some do. But generalization is very difficult. My own ongoing
(almost 50-yr.) Independent & Very Informal Survey has not produced any
significant conclusions.
