Re: Weekly vocab #3

The derivation is as follows - "rakh" - to eat; infixed -ya- indicating
persistent action; reduplication of rakh because it's a single syllable base;
prefixed ei- indicating the negative. In other words, "rakhyarakh" is
"glutton"; "eirakhyarakh" in a normal context is "not eating at all, ergo
ill".

And -ya is the present participle; -yao is the animate agent, derived from
the present participle. -zha is the "inanimate agent", with all the
inconsistencies that you would expect in a language spoken by ordinary people.

Corrigendum : weikhazh aiyani - joined together by prey - firm friends
(as opposed to comrades or aquaintances) should read "weikhavh aiyani".

Corrigendum 2 :
 4. She looked in (or tested, or..) her (someone else's) eye.
yhei temyatauti an temanti (for her own eyes, you would drop the -tau
"his/her" suffix. Context says it all.)

wei- ordinarily a preposition wei, "with", "by" which takes the base as a
nominal, here prefixed and becoming a bound phrase with time.

and Corrigendum 3 : "ima ya yhe rakhzha aru ranao" - "we(exclusive) are the
ones who eat up the distance/the eaters of distance". The version I posted
when I announced my conlang wasn't right.
