Well, I don't think I have any gem names in Graavgaaln as yet, but I do have
several metals. Gold is vezh. Copper is dhe^rrvezh -- red gold. Bronze is
dhe^rrdhaat -- literrally "the red one". Silver is pruuv. Platinum is
drraag pruuv -- heavy silver. Mercury is pruuvmelti^ntu^ -- silver water.
I also have words for iron, sulfur, sodium, cobalt, hydrogen, carbon,
oxygen, uranium, silicon, aluminum, and the alloy steel. I'm missing the
rest of the periodic table and all jewel materials. I doubt that abmer
exists and I'm not sure that there are such things as pearls, but the others
should all have names. I think I'll start with one of my favorites --
Tanzanite . . . *going off to ponder*
