"faxilate" meaning "to fax"?

Hmm, interesting. Misusification = misuse, I suppose? Quite "ironical", don't you think? ;-) Reminds me of the history of the word "lunch". Borrowed from Spanish "lunjo" ("slice") as "lunch", it originally meant "a small snack", then came to mean a mid-day meal, and was artificially lengthened to "luncheon". Now, it's gone full-circle and has been re-shortened to "lunch", altho "luncheon" still exists. As for linguistic "games" (as opposed to what you're talking about), I have a friend who likes to make plurals by adding -i (/aj/) to everything, so that he'll say things like "Lutherani" or "busi", "wheeli", etc. -- "It's bad manners to talk about ropes in the house of a man whose father was hanged." - Irish proverb http://members.tripod.com/~Nik_Taylor/X-Files http://members.tripod.com/~Nik_Taylor/Books.html ICQ: 18656696 AIM Screen-name: NikTailor
