Had you said "I once had a conlang where the race speaking it
did *that*", it would have made sense. Personally, I had to strain
somewhat to understand what you were talking about.
Tim was complaining, quite justly, that you used pronouns in a highly
ambiguous way. Doing that, how can you not expect people to be confused
by your usage?
