Now, despite what Daniel Andreasson'll tell you, I not exactly an expert on Primitive Quendian, but I thought I'd give it a try anyways. _Tauree_ is indeed the word for "(great) forrest". From the Q and ON forms we can reconstruct *_phuinee_ as the word for "(deep) shadow)". In a compound that'd shorten to *_-phuine_. *_Spaaroo_ could be an agental formation from SPAR "hunt". Then, how to piece this together? For the "Hunter-Shadows" part, *_spaaroophuine_ looks quite good I think. We have _Taure Huineeva_ for "Forest of Shadows" in Q, so I'll use a reconstructed form of the possessive ending -va, namely *_-waa_. According to one of Tolkien's notes, the pl variant -iva was a Q invention, so presumably we can't distinguish between "of shadow" and "of shadows" in PQ. So, something like _Tauree Spaaroophuineewaa_ "Forest of Hunter-Shadow" (in all likelihood, the long e of *phuinee will revert here).
