Next quarter's easier for me. :-) Especially, say, early January before
all my !@#$ papers pile up on me again. Gosh, I'm really excited by the
prospect of meeting another conlanger face to face! (Well, I've
technically met Tom Wier, but that was years ago, before I was
conlanging--I'm sure he started long before I did!)
Another note: Not *all* people look at conlanging weirdly. I was poring
over the possibility of adding another triad of connectives to Tasratal in
Classroom Management class the other day, mainly looking at my phonology,
alphabet and existing-connectives ("connectives"-nai <G>). Estelle (a
fellow math-teacher-to-be) was peering over and shoulder and asked, "What
is that?" I handed her my notes, and she puzzled over them, then said,
"Did you make that?" I nodded. "That's really neat!"
That was just an encouraging note. :-) What I'm scared of is showing my
notes to one of the foreign-language-teachers-to-be, in particular the one
who's into linguistics-in-general...<wry g>

Why can't you just be a nonconformist like everyone else?
