Back when I was translating in Taiwan, I'd often get the dreaded
green line under a sentence. Grammarcheck would then tell me I had
written a run-on sentence. I'd go back and reread it, and it flowed
and made perfect sense to me. "True, it's a *complex* sentence," I'd
indulge myself, "but not a run-on sentence." I've since learned to
ignore Grammarcheck entirely, since I'm not writing for "Teen Beat",
and to use Spellcheck judiciously, as it allows such mistakes as "Oh,
what a beautiful mourning!".
