That same thought hit me shortly after devising the system.  I don't
remember enough of it now-- maybe symmetry, symmetry, or likely something to
do with the writing system.  In any case, it went down the Memory Hole.
Actually a bit survives in my rudimentary Gwr material, where /Cyi/ > [Ci:]
or /Cwu/ > [Cu:], but that's to be expected I think.
