When two computer languages (used for representing XML schemas, though
not knowing what those are doesn't matter here) named RELAX and TREX,
both acronyms, were to be merged, I pushed for RELEX as the name of
choice. In the end, the new language owed more to TREX than to RELAX
syntactically, so it ended up being called RELAX NG (either "relax-en-gee"
or "relaxing", as you will), as a sort of gesture toward fairness.
